CEO & Founder - Cedric Ling
Born in New Haven Connecticut, Cedric was educated in Hong Kong, England, China, America and Switzerland. He has worked in New York, Silicon Valley, Hong Kong and Beijing. Cedric is a veteran entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in the IT industry.
When Cedric was 7, his grandmother taught him two things: medicine and Bridge. Ever since then, he has been very passionate about health & medicine. In 2003, while in LA, he saw a Chinese doctor diagnosing a patient, and instead of writing a script for conventional medicine, saw that the prescription was for the pharmacist to send to the lab for custom-made capsules filled with personalized Chinese medicine. As the rise of Dell has solidified the idea of mass customization as being next frontier in business Cedric saw an opportunity he could not pass up: customizing vitamins for customers' individual needs.
In January 2005, he received funding from successful Silicon Valley entrepreneurs such as WebEx founder Zhu Min, Netscreen's founder Deng Feng and Redoctane / Guitar Hero founder Kai Huang to start Mitamins, known today as Vitaganic.
Executive Chairman – Nick Leese
Nick Leese, is a 15 year veteran investment banker turned savvy vitamin executive, and is the chairman of a listed nutraceutical retail company for the last 12 years.
A graduate of The University of Oxford, Nick has always had a passion for health and supplements. As he puts it: "I travel extensively often over many time zones and am an enthusiastic sports person who loves, jogging, going to the gym, sailing & martial arts, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the supplements I take have allowed me the energy and resistance from disease to pursue my lifestyle choices. When I first saw the Mitamins (now the Vitaganic) website, it was love at first sight. It was a chance for me to become actively involved in the customization of my supplement. My supplement was customized to my exact requirements and suited to my active lifestyle. Instead of taking 16 different forms of supplements from 12 bottles a day, now I am taking my supplements in one form and reducing my serving size to 8 capsules a day from just 1 bottle. It represents a quantum leap forward from anything that I had experienced thus far in lifestyle attainment."
As a result of his experience and passion with the Vitaganic lifestyle, he has begun doing consulting work regarding the distribution of Vitaganic supplements abroad. Before long, he became the Executive Chairman for Vitaganic, and started to bring custom-made vitamins back to England, Asia and the rest of Europe. Today, Vitaganic's customized supplements are sold and shipped to over 50 countries worldwide.
