Where do you get your ingredients?

Vitaganic sources its raw materials from top suppliers located throughout the world. We select our suppliers based on the quality and concentration level of the active ingredients present. A key component of our stringent selection process is to establish vendor qualification programs. Our supplier collaborations are thus restricted to those suppliers who meet our best-in-class standards and utilize GMP-certified facilities.

All ingredients that arrive at our facility are quarantined, sampled, and tested before entering our manufacturing inventory. All materials must meet our designated specifications in efficacy, purity, activity, and physical characteristics. Any materials that fail to meet any of the previously-mentioned specifications are rejected and are not used. Here is a sample list of our ingredients:

Our easy-to-swallow capsules are of 100% vegetable origin, and have met the disintegration standards of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). Our capsules are Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS), are Kosher and Halal certified, and are free from any artificial colors or inks. Our capsules measure 0.917" in length and 0.336" in diameter.

Our process ensures that we will provide you with the freshest products available and eliminate the usage of capsules that spend months expiring on a store shelf. It also means that our custom supplements do not use any preservatives like mass-market supplements.

Is your product allergen-free?

Vitaganic's supplements are prepared in a 100% allergen-free facility. We use no milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, or soybeans in any of our products, and our processing equipment is not shared with allergenic foods.

How big are your capsules and what are they made of?

Can I take my vitamins all at once, or do I need to spread them out throughout the day?

In order to allow your body to get maximum, consistent exposure to the nutrients in your formula, many nutritionists suggest that you take your capsules in equal amounts during mealtimes. However, this is not a strict requirement. You can take them all at once or as directed by your healthcare advisor.

Please be sure to wash down your capsules with plenty of water.

Do you use any preservatives or artificial ingredients?

Because our formulas are all freshly made on-demand, we have no need to use the preservatives that mass-market supplements require. We use only fresh ingredients with no preservatives, binders, artificial colors, or waxes.

What should I do if I think your supplements are making me sick?

Stop taking the supplements immediately unless your doctor has advised you to keep taking them. See a doctor for advice, and take your bottle label with you. Please call our customer support at 1-866-585-1390, or email us and let our medical team know the situation and the outcome of your consultation as soon as you can.

Although Vitaganic allows customers to customize their own formulas, all of our ingredient amounts are capped in order to minimize risk of any overdose scenarios. But as with anything, please be careful when taking our supplements, and abide by the recommended daily capsule count on your bottle label!

What is the difference between niacin and niacinamide (nicotinamide)?

Niacin is a member of the Vitamin B family. It is sometimes referred to as Vitamin B3. The term niacin is a collective term referring to both nicotinic acid and niacinamide. Both nicotinic acid and niacinamide have identical vitamin activities, but very different pharmacological activities.

Niacin is involved in a wide range of biological processes including the production of energy, the synthesis of fatty acids, cholesterol, and steroids, signal transduction, the regulation of gene expression, and the maintenance of gene integrity. In pharmacology, nicotinic acid is used as an anti-hyperlipidemic agent. Both nicotinic acid and niacinamide are efficiently absorbed through the stomach and small intestine. However, they are metabolized differently and excreted in the urine in different forms.

Vitaganic uses niacinamide in our formulations to avoid side effects often associated with nicotinic acid such as flushing. Nicotinic acid causes vasodilatation within twenty minutes of ingestion which can last for up to an hour.

Why should Echinacea, Cayenne and Reishi not be taken for extended periods?

Although there is no empirical evidence to suggest that these herbs may pose a risk to health over extended periods of time, there is anecdotal evidence from people who have experienced upset stomachs, dizziness and dry mouth. Because of this, Vitaganic warns customers its and cancels repeat orders of these herbs after a 3-months period. If you would like to discuss other supplement options that you may use to substitute these herbs, please contact us and our nutrition team will assist you.
